Built in 1992, the 217-metre-high television tower is considered one of the 5 ugliest buildings in the world. The Žižkov television tower is by no means at the top of the visual scale, but its decoration with sculptures of crawling babies has made it even worse. These were created by the artist David Cerny. These strange little babies were meant to be a temporary addition to the television tower, but due to their popularity it has been decided to leave them there permanently.

The 60-metre-high observation tower on Petřín Hill in Prague, built in 1891, is a 5 times smaller replica of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. In 1889, the Czech Tourist Club travelled to Paris to visit the World Exhibition. They were so impressed by Paris and its new symbol, the Eiffel Tower, that they decided to build a similar structure in Prague, on the city's highest hill, Petřín (327 m). It took six months to build the Eiffel Tower in Prague and it took two years, two months, two weeks and two days to build the Eiffel Tower in Paris. After climbing the 299 steps of the tower, you can go up to the observation deck and enjoy the magnificent panorama of Prague. Prague is a very romantic city for those looking for magical places, and Petřín Hill is particularly popular with Prague lovers. They walk through the park holding hands, where there is a monument to the most romantic Czech poet, Karel Hynek Macha. There is a cable car to Petřín and the tower is open to visitors all year round.
